Ole Henriksen Wrinkle Blur Bakuchiol Eye Gel-Cream was released in February and I can’t wait to try it out, especially after trying Ole Henriksen Lemonade Smoothing Scrub, and love it. Bakuchiol, a natural alternative to retinol, has been described as causing the collagen-boosting craze in the skincare world.
Ole Henriksen Wrinkle Blur Bakuchiol Eye Gel Cream
“Here’s the science behind our vegan eye cream: The dual-action formula keeps the actives separate, and when you pump them, they blend together to activate. Ribbons of bakuchiol (purple swirl) that help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are suspended in a blend of peptides, proteins and orchid stem cells (clear swirl).
Once they make a connection, it starts. You’ll see both the instant blurring of the look of wrinkles and the long-term results – dramatic improvements in firmness, elasticity and the appearance of dark circles. Plus, it helps even out eyelid complexion.
This bakuchiol eye cream is a blend of powerful ingredients at just the right time to truly work its magic. “
this Ole Henriksen Wrinkle Blur Bakuchiol Eye Gel Cream yes £42and is described as an eye cream that instantly reduces the appearance of fine lines, firms the skin, improves elasticity and reduces dark circles around the eyes.
It comes packaged inside a plastic bottle with a pump dispenser and you can see the spiral purple and white pattern of the product through the plastic. I love that this product created by Ole Henriksen has clear packaging so you can see the spiral pattern, as well as the band of actives inside the tube.
One of the reasons bakuchiol is such a hot ingredient right now is that it is said to be an alternative to retinol that can help with antiaging, but without the sensitivity issues that come with using retinol.
It won’t sting, irritate, or turn the skin red, but in addition to bakuchiol, Ole Henriksen Wrinkle Blur Bakuchiol Eye Gel-Cream contains other skin-friendly ingredients;
- Bakuchiol – A plant-based retinol alternative that helps even skin tone, smooth texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- plant protein – Helps reduce eye bags and dark circles.
- Sandalwood, Licorice Root + Chamomile Extract – Helps condition and soften skin.
- Orchid Stem Cells – Helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin firmness.
- Peptide – Helps condition the skin.
Ole Henriksen Wrinkle Blur Bakuchiol Eye Gel Cream has a gel-cream consistency that feels super hydrating like a serum rather than a traditional eye cream. It absorbs quickly and leaves no residue when massaged into the skin.
It never migrates into the eyes, but helps make the eye area look more even, bright and hydrated. I don’t have wrinkles yet, so I can’t comment on how well it works on fine lines and wrinkles, but there are over 500 reviews on the Ole Henriksen website, many of them on how well it works on wrinkles and firming.
Even if you don’t have wrinkles yet, Ole Henriksen Wrinkle Blur Bakuchiol Eye Gel Cream is a super hydrating, smoothing and brightening eye cream that layers well under makeup and helps my concealer go well Skin, which is something I’m definitely looking for with an eye cream.
