I have tested many Skincare Lately, the Uriage Hyseac SOS Paste Blemish Treatment is just one of the treatments I’ve been trying out.
My favorite recent discovery is AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Defect Treatmentbut this blemish cream is my pick from essencewhen they were hosting a French pharmacy event.
Uriage Hyseac SOS Cream Blemish Treatment
“Address blemishes and blemishes with Uriage Hyséac SOS Paste, a targeted blemish treatment that speeds up the departure of blemishes by speeding up the maturation process.
Acting directly on blemishes, it helps draw out impurities with naturally absorbing Green Clay and Zinc, and purifies with Schist Oil. Provides a soothing effect with Uriage thermal water.“
Before purchasing Uriage Hyseac SOS Paste Blemish Treatment, I hadn’t tried any products from Uriage before, so I don’t know if it is any good. The description intrigues me, it has over 440 good reviews on Amazon so I think it’s worth a try and it’s less than £10, while it’s 1/3 off on Escentual.
Uriage Hyseac SOS Paste Blemish Treatment comes in a small plastic jar and is a thick pale gray paste. It actually looks (and smells) like a clay mask, and even feels a bit like a clay mask, as it feels a bit chalky and dense.
It’s really sticky, which I don’t like, so I find the best way to apply it is to dab it on the breakage with a cotton swab, because it’s hard to apply with your fingertips, it’s like pressing it on the skin, it just sticks on your fingers because it’s too sticky.
It doesn’t blend or fade after application, so it’s noticeable the entire time it’s on the skin, so it’s definitely the kind of spot treatment you want to slather on before bed. Even overnight, it’s still a little sticky in the morning, so you have to be careful of it transferring to your pillow at night.
For me, Uriage Hyseac SOS Paste Blemish Treatment works best on really red and angry blemishes as it helps remove impurities faster. It doesn’t help blemishes that start to form under the skin, nor does it help speed up the healing process.
To me, it’s like face painting cream, which is handy when you want a spot to be fully developed and done, but it’s a pretty harsh treatment. It makes the skin very dry and flaky, which is the last thing I want in a blemish treatment because the flakes end up making blemishes look worse.
Nice and affordable, but I just don’t like how sticky and drying it is and would rather use a blemish treatment that helps reduce inflammation and heal, so I won’t be repurchasing it, unfortunately.
